I am a mom to 6 kids and a grandma of 15 grandbabies. I have been married to my loving husband for going on 23 years! I have worked with children for the past 27+ years. They are my passion and I love every minute of it. Some may say I’m wild, loud, loving, and caring. I also love to serve and work at my church.
I am married and have two beautiful daughters. My favorite hobby is cooking. I also enjoy doing arts and crafts with my girls. I have always loved working with children. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been working with children for over 15 years. Being able to watch their eyes light up when they learn something new brings me joy. This is my fifth year at CCS. I absolutely love working here, and I’m excited to see what new adventures this school year will bring.
I have been married for 25 years and I have 4 kids, ages from 14 to 23. I have worked with children in the preschool setting for 8 years and worked with special education students for 8 years at Webb Street School and Gardner Park Elementary School. My name is Mrs. McCurry and this is my third year at CCS! I look forward to teaching the curriculum and being a part of the community of CCS. I live in Cramerton, NC with my husband Brad and our sweet pup Mac. In my spare time, I enjoy being “Aunt Sass” to my nieces and nephews.
I joined CCS in 2019 as a first grade teacher’s assistant. Prior to CCS, I worked at Cramerton Christian Academy, as an interim PE teacher and substitute. I obtained a bachelor’s degree from Lee University in 2017 majoring in Christian Education. Stanley, NC has been my home for the majority of my life, and I would not trade my quaint, little “Mayberry” town for anything. Apart from assisting in the classroom, I love educating children in my local church. According to Psalm 127, Children are a heritage from the Lord, and I believe that it is our duty as educators to give children the best care and education possible.
This is my fifth year here at CPCS, and I couldn’t ask for a better place to be! I grew up here in Stanley and received my bachelor’s degree in Christian Education from Lee University. I have been working with children in the preschool or school setting for seven years. Thomas Jefferson said that knowledge is power, knowledge is safety, and knowledge is happiness. I’m so pleased that I get to be a part of creating in our students a thirst for knowledge which will last a lifetime.
My name is Ashley Lewis, this is my third year as a teacher assistant at CCS. My love for children started at an early age, leading me to earn a certification in early childhood development in high school. I also attended Kings College, where I earned a diploma in Medical Assisting. I am married and live in Bessemer City, NC with my husband and our four boys. I have had the pleasure of homeschooling my children for eight years, but now they are at CCS too. We are looking forward to an awesome year with you all.
I am Margaret DeWolf, proud parent of two boys and grandparent to two grandsons. I live in Stanley and have been here for over four years after living a while in New Mexico. I obtained my Teaching Assistant Certification while teaching in upstate New York for several years. I have worked in several different schools with students from kindergarten to high school. I thoroughly enjoy working with the young students and helping them succeed. I really like working with elementary students because they are short like me!
I grew up in a family of teachers, and this instilled in me a love for education and young children. I earned a B.A. in English from the University of North Georgia and Early Childhood Education certification from Augusta University. My work experience as a teacher includes a public, private and charter school, as well as homeschooling. After raising three children, I am excited to serve my local community sharing my love of learning. Tutoring students in reading is my favorite part of being a teaching assistant. When I’m not at home in Stanley, you might find me with my husband walking on my parent’s farm or eating ethnic food in a big city.
I think working with children is one of the most important and most rewarding jobs you could have. I have an associate degree from Gaston College and was previously teaching preschool where I realized my passion for teaching. I enjoy hiking, spending time with my family and visiting the mountains in my free time. I am excited to be on staff here at CCS!
I earned my B.Ed in elementary education from UNC-Charlotte in December 2002. I taught with Charlotte Mecklenburg School District, mainly in Equity Plus schools. In August 2021, I became a member of the Community Public Charter School family, both as a staff member and a parent.
