I grew up in the Crowders Mountain area of Gaston County and moved to Stanley when I got married. My husband George and I have two children. Our son Evan is married and currently building a house in Alexis. Our daughter Lanie is married and lives in Winston Salem. I also have a four year old Boston Terrier named Rosie. In 2003, I became a teacher’s assistant in public school. During that time, I decided I wanted to be a classroom teacher. I attended Western Carolina University and graduated with my teaching degree in 2011. I am certified in Birth to Kindergarten and K-6. I’ve been teaching kindergarten since I graduated (13 years but I’ve been in education for 21 years). This is my third year teaching at Community Charter School. CCS is an great place to work and teach. I’m so thankful to be a part of this amazing school family.
