I started my career in Charlotte-Mecklenburg and I am thrilled to be a part of the CCS Community. This is my 14th year in education. I have experience in teaching Kindergarten, 1st Grade, K-5 academic literacy facilitator as well as working with grades K-5 for reading intervention! I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University in 2011, Go Mountaineers! In 2016 I received my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction K-12 from Gardner Webb. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have 2 boys, 1 dog and some chickens! Benjamin Franklin said “tell me and I may forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn”. I am a believer that true learning is evident when experience produces action.
