I am originally from Newton NC. I attended Winthrop University where I received my Bachelor of Science. in Special Education. I was also a member of the Winthrop Eagles basketball team. I recently retired from Gaston County Schools. I taught 10 years at the alternative school where I became teacher of the year in 2006, and 2009. I recently finished my career in GCS at Holbrook Middle school. I am married with one son. I have a passion for teaching students and my goal is to continue to have a positive effect on the lives of our students.
