Hi! My name is Nakira Heath, and I’m thrilled to begin my first year teaching first grade and my third year as a classroom teacher. I graduated from East Carolina University in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. I’ve had the joy of teaching students from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities, and I’m passionate about creating a classroom that feels like a second home.

Originally from Iron Station, NC, I spent some time away but am so happy to be back close to family. I believe that learning is a shared journey built on positivity, collaboration, and individual growth. I want every child to walk into our classroom feeling respected, inspired, and excited to learn.
