Christy Potts
This is my third year at Community Charter School and my eighth year in education. Prior to joining CCS, I spent three years teaching middle school Special Education, where I developed a passion for helping students build confidence, independence, and practical skills.
I graduated from Belmont Abbey College with a Bachelor’s degree in Education Studies and a minor in Psychology. I am married, and my husband and I have two sons. As a family, we enjoy fishing, watching movies, crafting, and spending time in the mountains whenever we have the opportunity.
I am excited to be teaching both middle and high school American Makers this year. My goal is to provide students with meaningful, hands-on experiences that teach valuable life skills, encourage creativity and problem-solving, and help them become more self-sufficient as they prepare for life beyond school.
Above all, I strive to create a classroom where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to discover their unique talents and potential.
