This is my first year as a teacher at CCS and I am so excited to be apart of this team of staff teaching technology to middle and high school students. I have been a teacher in the elementary setting for 10 years but have had a love for technology all along. I graduated from East Carolina University in 2014 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in reading. I found out how much I loved technology so I returned to the classroom, this time as a student, to receive my Masters Degree in Instructional Technology from Gardner Webb University in 2019.
I believe in the power of the word "yet." I teach my students from the first day I meet them you may not be able to do something YET but if you keep persevering, at some point you will be able to. My favorite part of teaching is the relationships I get to have with my students. As long as students know they are loved and cared about, they can do and learn anything with time.
I enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews, designing and creating with my best friend for our small business, being an auntie to my best friends sons, and working and serving at church. I also love watching the sunrise and sunset.
