It is my great honor to serve the Community Charter family as your band director. Originally from Maine, my family moved south and settled in Cabarrus County in the 90s. Music & band became my passion, and I was so inspired by my middle and high school band directors, I decided to pursue music education. I graduated from Western Carolina University with a B.S.Ed in Instrumental Music in 2010, I am licensed to teach K-12 music, and have experienced every grade level throughout my 15 year career. I have been singing since early childhood, I began playing F Horn in 7th grade, and since then I have tried to learn to play any and all musical instruments I can get my hands on! Most recently I have collected a genuine Indian Harmonium, which I enjoy while in songful worship with my husband and 2 children. We have a few fur babies and chickens, and live on a small homestead in Maiden, with a garden that grows bigger each year!
