This is my second year teaching at CCS and I couldn't be happier! I was honored to be chosen as Teacher of the Year for the 2025-2026 school year. I’m 44 years old, married & we have a 16 ½ year old daughter named Bryna. We also have two lab puppies! I’m a member of Community Baptist Church in Dallas; I love family time & vacations, especially the beach! In 2007 I graduated from UNCC with a bachelor degree & hold an SPII Teaching License in Birth through Kindergarten. Believe it or not this is my 25th year teaching & it will be my second year in Kindergarten. For 23 years I taught the NC Pre K program for GCS. I love building a good parent/teacher relationship with good open communication. In addition to teaching, I also serve as a Board Member for the B.H. Rowland Foundation. The Foundation provides a much-needed state-wide structure for recognizing and rewarding early childhood educators for high-quality services to young children, from birth through kindergarten, and their families, innovation in the field, and noteworthy support to children with special needs. In 2023, I was honored to be one of the first recipients for the Spring 2023 Awards. The best thing about teaching is getting to witness children meeting their goals. When something finally clicks, its MAGIC!!
