I am absolutely thrilled to join the amazing team at Community Charter School as a high school mathematics teacher, where I get to share my love for teaching math. My journey in education began after graduating from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, and I have been proudly teaching math since 1997. After a fulfilling career teaching in traditional public school districts, I am excited to transition into this new chapter at Community Charter, where I can focus on helping students unlock the logic, patterns, and beauty of advanced mathematics.

Outside of the classroom, I am a deeply passionate musician, rock and classical guitarist, and a long-time worship leader currently serving on the worship team at Freedom House Church. When I don't have a guitar in my hands, you can usually find me listening to my favorite band, Rush, watching classic sci-fi series like Star Wars and Star Trek, or hitting the trails as an avid long-distance hiker who has tackled some of the longest trails in America.
