Rachel Davis
Hello! I am Rachel Davis, the 6th grade English Language Arts teacher here at CCS! I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Grove City College in 1994 and have been a teacher ever since, first in Pennsylvania, then in North Carolina for the past 14 years. I hold certifications in Elementary Education (K-6), History (9-12), and Latin (K-12). I enjoy teaching the humanities, especially language, literature, and writing, and I particularly love the rigorous and excellent CKLA and Amplify curricula we offer at CPCS. It's a joy to see middle school students growing and excelling in their reading, writing, and speaking skills through quality literature!
I live in Stanley and have one spoiled cat, Felix! I am also an Auntie to two sweet nieces. When I'm not at school, I love to craft and work on knitting and sewing projects as well as home decorating projects. I am the pianist for my church and also do some writing and editing. I enjoy participating in drama productions, choral music and musical theater and have enjoyed directing various vocal ensembles and plays as well as playing the piano for several musical theater performances over the years! My travels include the UK as well as East Africa and New Zealand, but these days, I'm more of a homebody and enjoy local get togethers with family and friends!
Please feel free to contact me at: rdavis@cpcsnc.org if you would like to talk further with me. I look forward to getting to know you!
