I am a proud graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a minor in Reading Education. I continued my education at Grand Canyon University, obtaining a master’s degree in Elementary Studies. Dedicated to ongoing professional growth, I have also achieved National Board Certification.

With 37 years of classroom experience, I am passionate about nurturing young learners and fostering a love of reading and lifelong learning. Throughout my career, I have strived to create a supportive and engaging environment where every student can thrive.

Outside of school, I am happily married and the proud parent of three sons. My family also includes two wonderful daughters-in-law, a precious grandson, and our sweet dog, Bentley. I look forward to contributing to our school community and inspiring the next generation of learners.
