Hello! I am honored to begin my 8th year in education, in that time I have served as a teaching assistant, elementary teacher and middle school teacher. CCS has been my home for four years and there is no other place I'd rather be. This will be my second year teaching 7th-grade English.
I am confident in the power of words to transform lives. Coming from a background shaped by poverty and adversity, I am blessed to be able to use my experiences to foster a safe, supportive classroom community where every student feels valued and seen. The understanding of the English language is not only necessary to become successful students and adults, but it can also give an escape in stories, provide healing and a safe outlet in writing.
My goal each year is to integrate resilience, empathy, and creative expression into my student’s learning, helping them to not only master English but also develop the confidence to share their own stories. My firm belief is that literacy isn’t just about reading and writing—it’s about empowering students to find their voice and shape their future.
