My family and I live just north of Stanley in Lincoln County. We have a son who also attends here at CCS, and a step-son, who is a soon to be graduate at East Lincoln High School, that keep my family and I very busy! We love going to the beach and enjoying time together! Outside of school I work as a Motorcoach Operator for Burke Christian Tours and I am very active and serve at my church, Lake Forest Church-Westlake in Denver.

I am a proud graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree in Reading Education (K-12) at Queens University in Charlotte, and my Principal Licensure from Wingate University. Before coming to Community Charter, I taught and have served in various roles in education for over 20 years, all in North Carolina at various traditional public and charter schools. I have taught 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Grades, and currently serving as our school's instructional coach for the past two years.

I am looking forward to continuing to get to know our students, families, and our entire CCS school community as we continue to learn and grow together.
