I grew up in the Crowders Mountain area of Gaston County and moved to Stanley when I got married 32 years ago.  My husband George and I have two children.  My son Evan still lives at home and is engaged.  My daughter Lanie is married and lives in Winston Salem. I also have a Boston Terrier named Rosie.  In 2003 I became a teacher’s assistant in public school.  During that time I decided I wanted to be a classroom teacher.  I attended Western Carolina University and graduated with my teaching degree in 2011.  I have been teaching kindergarten since then.  

This is my first year teaching at Community Public Charter School and I am so excited to be a part of the amazing family.
