I am the K-2 Reading Specialist this year at CPCS. I am very excited to be here!  I have been an educator for 28 years. I have taught 1st and 2nd grade and have been a reading specialist and academic facilitator for most of my career. I received my teaching degree from the University of NC at Charlotte and my Master’s degree in Reading Education from Appalachian State University. I have two grown children, a son and a daughter. I also have a sweet cocker spaniel named Homer and a cute orange cat named Odin. I enjoy spending time with my family, baking pies and reading good books. I look forward to a great school year at CPCS!
