I retired from Gaston County Schools after 31.5 years. I spent my entire career in special education, most recently as a director. I received my undergraduate degree in Special Education from Western Carolina University and my Master’s degree in Special Education from University of North Carolina-Charlotte. I graduated from Ashbrook High School and both of my parents were educators. Before returning to work in Gaston County, I worked in Craven and Buncombe Counties. I have been married to my husband Greg for 29 years and we have two sons, Nick-28 and Ben-23. My hobby is reading. I love anything with a happily ever after! I also enjoy suspense and true crime novels.
